As part of the measures to ensure proper organization and effective coordination of the activities at the Ijtema’a, the following guidelines have been implemented. All members of the Majlis, especially the participants of the 42nd National Ijtema’a, Asokore are entreated to read them and comply accordingly.

FEEDING
- All participants are requested to carry along culinary items including but not limited to bowls or plates, cups and cutlery (spoons and forks) for their meals.
- All Qaideen Ilaqa are required to set up a 3–5-member team to serve all meals as apportioned to their various Ilaqa. Only team members will be permitted to visit the kitchen to resolve any feeding related issues.
- Meals will be distributed to all Ilaqa at their various accommodation areas to be served by their respective feeding teams.
- All meals will be served with a sachet of water to each member.
- Feeding is scheduled to begin on arrival day with lunch and supper to be provided. Meals will be provided throughout the National Ijtema’a.

SALAAT
- Salaat shall be observed on the school field. (Including Jumu’ah and Huzur’s sermon)
- Participants are encouraged to come along with prayer mats to complement the few mats provided at the prayer grounds.
- All participants are entreated to arrive at the prayer grounds early enough to be able to undergo the scanning process before salaat begins.
- All participants are entreated to comply with all the instructions of the Khuddam on duty particularly with respect to following the demarcated lines.
- Khuddam on duty are entreated to carry out their mandate in the most professional and polite manner.
- All participants are entreated as a matter of good practice to wait for the salaam of the Imam or the Sadr before leaving the prayer grounds.

ACADEMICS
Quran Reading
- A portion of the Holy Quran selected by a panel of Judges would be recited by all contestants to determine the best recitation of the Arabic text correctly. This activity is likely to be undertaken on Thursday Night (i.e., on the arrival day).
Qur’an Memorization
- Per the consolidated program, all contestants would recite from memory, the first ten (10) verses of Suratul Khaf with translation. A selected panel will determine how correctly the memorizations had been done and award marks accordingly. NB: Anybody who contested last year will not be allowed to contest this year.
Quiz Competition (Written and Oral)
- Representatives from each of the ten (10) regions will undergo a preliminary written test to determine the top four competitors. The top four competitors will finally go through an Oral Quiz Competition. Whilst the preliminary written test event is slated for Thursday Night after Isha salat, the Oral Quiz competition for the top four would be held on Friday Night.
Questions for both the written and oral quiz competitions will be based on the major activities for Khuddam spelled out in the consolidated program. They cover the following areas:
- The History of Islam [Learn about the Holy Prophet and the four guided Khulafah]
- The History of Ahmadiyyat [Learn about the Promised Messiah and his five successors]
- 1 book: How to Be Free from Sin is the selected book to be tested on
- Current affairs (Entails Khuddam activities)
- Extempore Speech
17 selected topics on contemporary issues of Islamic significance written on pieces of paper and folded will be made available to contestants to pick at random and speak to the issues therein. Samples of issues to be addressed are as follows;
- Importance and blessings of Wasiyyat.
- Importance and blessings of Waqf-e-Nau.
- Marriage as a Divine Institution
- Islam’s position on superstition
- True interpretation of Khatam-ul Nabiyyin
- Reasons why Alcohol consumption and gambling are prohibited in Islam.
- Relevance of Khilafat in Islam
- Relevance of Polygamy in the contemporary world.
- Reasons for the prohibition of swine (pork) consumption in Islam
- True interpretation of JIHAD
- Obedience to Authority
- Importance and blessings of Congregational Salaat.
- Islam’s pathway to world peace
- Immorality: A threat to spiritual development and societal peace.
- Islam’s guidance for the youth against materialism.
- The relevance of religion (Islam Ahmadiyya) to the contemporary world.
- The relevance (rightful use) of social media to Ahmadi youth in the contemporary world.
A panel of judges will be constituted to determine the best delivery and award marks in accordance with the following criteria:
- Introducing the topic with an Islamic way of starting a speech [10 marks]
- Content of the delivery, expression, and coherence [60 marks]
- References-making reference to the Holy Quran and Hadith so far as the issue in question is concerned [20 marks]
- Conclude with a summary of the main points and ability to deliver within time [10 marks]
- TOTAL SCORE= 100%
Message Delivery
- A common message would be delivered in a chain by 5 representatives of each region. This would be done together with the final quiz competition on Friday Night.
NB:
- All Regional Qaideen are kindly advised to compile the names of all the competitors (with a backup plan) to the Muhtamim Ta’lim a week before the rally via talim@mkaghana.org. This would facilitate the registration process for a smooth take-off of the academic competitions.
- All the Nazimeen Ta’lim are banned from directly participating in any competition.
- As much as possible, opportunities should be given to new crop of competitors in order to expose more of our members to such competitions.
- Qaideen are to ensure that one contestant is presented to compete in one competition except in extreme circumstances and with the consent of the Muhtamim Ta’lim.
- All Qaideen and Nazimeen Ta’lim are to ensure that competitors are ready and present at the competition centers at least five (5) minutes before the commencement of each competition.

SPORTS AND ROUTE MARCH
Sporting activities will commence in the afternoon of the day of arrival. Participants are encouraged to report early in order to participate in the activities.
KHUDDAM
- All Ilaqa are expected to present teams and players for all competitions. (Khuddam & Atfal)
- All competitions shall be on a knockout basis.
- The pairings done during the balloting shall apply to all competitions.
- Every player shall represent one Ilaqa throughout the competitions.
- All teams and players must be present at the sports facility five minutes before the commencement of the game. Any team or player (as the case may be) that reports five minutes later shall be disqualified thus the opposing team automatically qualifies to the next stage.
- All teams and players are expected to obey all decisions of the officials on the field.
- Any form of violent conduct (physical or verbal) by any team or player shall warrant an outright dismissal from that game and all competitions and a subsequent sanction from the jury of appeal.
- Any grievances, protests, or concerns relating to any action during any game shall be referred to the jury of appeal through the Qaideen Ilaqa and Nazimeen Sihat-e-Jismane.
- Every recommendation by the jury of appeal shall be subject to the decision of the Sadr.
Soccer
- A period of thirty (30) minutes will be allocated to each game i.e. 15 minutes per half.
- Upon the expiration of the regulation time without a winner, the teams shall proceed to a penalty-shootout with three (3) players each.
- A maximum of six (6) substitutions shall be allowed during each game.
Volleyball
- The general rules of the game shall apply to all games. (3 sets of 15 points)
- The system of 3 sets of 15 points will apply to table tennis and badminton. Every Ilaqa will present a player for each competition.
Tug-of-peace
- Each Ilaqa will present a team of eight (8). All rules in the game are applicable.
Arm Wrestling
- Each Ilaqa will present a player. All rules in the game will be applicable.
Athletics
- The 10 Ilaqa will be placed in two (2) groups of five (5) (Heat 1&2)
- The top 3 athletes from each heat will proceed to the final race. Each Ilaqa will present an athlete.
ATFAL
- In the case of soccer, 15 minutes per game. All other rules stated for the Khuddam will be applied. (Saghir & Kabir)
- All rules of volleyball shall be applied. (Kabir)
- All the rules of table tennis shall be applied. (Kabir)
- In the case of sack race, competitors will run a distance of 15 meters for the sack and then another distance of 25 meters for the sack. Two teams of 5 Ilaqa will be created for HEATS. The top two runners of each race will proceed to the final. Each Ilaqa will be represented by a tifl. (Saghir & Kabir)
- In the case of lime and spoon, the same rules for the sack race shall apply. (Saghir)
- In the case of the blind race, Competitors will be BLIND-FOLDED and run 15 Meters for a bottle/stick, remove the blindfold when you find the bottle/ stick and RUN for 25 Meters to the finish line. The rules for the sack race shall apply. (Kabir)
- The rules of the 100 Meter race for Khuddam shall apply to both Saghir and Kabir.
- The rules of arm wrestling for Khuddam shall apply to both Saghir and Kabir.
ROUTE MARCH
A 5.4 km distance will be covered on the route march
- All participants are expected to be neatly dressed in the appropriate uniform.
- The host Ilaqa will lead the march and the others will follow in alphabetical order.
- Banners are expected to be used for easy identification. Zonal banners are permissible in the case of Ilaqas with large numbers.
- There shall be no loitering on the streets during the march. Garbage bags shall be provided to each Ilaqa.
- Dancing in any form is not permissible during the march. Culprits and their Ilaqa will be sanctioned accordingly.
- A van shall be available to distribute water and for emergency cases.
- Vehicles shall be available to convey participants who will not be able to complete the route march.
- Tabligh leaflets will be available for distribution to the general public.
- A team of missionaries will be available to answer questions in relation to the leaflets.
- A tabligh van shall be available during the route march.
- Participants should inform their coordinators/leaders when leaving the lines during the route march.
- All participants are entreated to comply with the directives given by the security.

AMENITIES
- Rooms will be allocated on regional bases. Qaideen and participants are entreated to look out for their regions as inscribed on the doors to the rooms.
- Additional washrooms will be provided at vantage points at the Ijtema’a grounds.
- Participants are advised to come along with mattresses and mosquito nets. (Arrangements are in place to provide some mattresses at the venue for a fee)
- Participants, especially the Atfal are advised to come along with cover cloths, blankets, and pullovers due to weather conditions at night.
- Participants with private tents are permitted to bring them. (An area has been made for their erection on the Ijtem’a grounds)
- Participants are encouraged to come along with their buckets for use in the bathrooms.
- Members are advised to come along with their health insurance cards.

CENSUS
- All members attending the Ijtema’a will be required to fill out their names in the Forms to be provided.
- Each vehicle should have a leader or coordinator, who will write out the names of the participants on the Form provided and hand it over to the Statistics Team at the gate of entry to the Ijtema’a grounds.
- After cross-checking and confirmation of the details on the filled Form, participants will be provided with their participation tags.
- International delegates and National Aamila members would be registered separately. Accordingly, all National Aamila members who will be joining their Jama’at should identify themselves as such at the gate, to avoid double counting.
- Members should also identify invited guests (friends who are not Ahmadis or dignitaries in their company) when arriving at the Gate.
- A Google link for registration will be shared prior to the Ijtema’a.
- All members are to fill out their details on the Google form prior to their arrival. The form will take less than a minute to be completed.
- One Khaadim in a vehicle can fill in the hard copy form for all participants in the vehicle, and use the same details to fill out the Google sheet.
- The Google form should not be filled out for invited guests or invited dignitaries.
- The Google sheet is not a replacement for the manual sheet hence both must be filled.
- All Qaideen should ensure that the Hard Copy form and Google forms are widely circulated to reach all participants of the Ijtema’a.

SECURITY
- There shall be a command center to coordinate security
- Participant badges will be checked at all entry and exit points at the Ijtema’a. Participants are therefore advised to wear the badge at all material times.
- There shall be the use of metal detectors to scan members before accessing all official gatherings (Conference and Prayer grounds).
- Participants shall not be allowed to exit the conference grounds without proper permission.
- There shall be no loitering after 11 pm.
- Every room allotted for accommodation shall be watched over by a Khadim who shall be appointed by the Zonal Qaid.
- All reports of security breaches shall be reported at the command center.
