Mr. Usman Y. Baidoo, the Former Naib Sadr – Southern Sector, has charged all Aamila members to perform their duties beyond measure as the development of the Majlis greatly depends on them discharging their duties appropriately.

He made these statements at a ceremony to acknowledge the contributions of some ten (10) former Aamila members of Agona Circuit held at Agona Swedru Central Mosque on the 6th of February 2022.

He further encouraged members on being regular in writing letters to Huzoor and also listening to Huzoor’s Friday Sermon. “Gone were the days when Huzoor’s Friday Sermon was only aired in Urdu or English. Currently, Huzoor’s Friday Sermon is being aired in Twi, Hausa, among others, which is an opportunity for all to listen”, he said. He advised members to avoid leaving the masjid immediately after Jummah and also be abreast with Huzoor’s Sermon.

Touching on the moral life of Aamila members, he made them aware that they are the leaders of the Majlis and thus anything they do is being watched by the members. “Uneasy lies the Head that wears the crown”, he quoted. This is a massive call for Aamila members to work beyond expectations.

Again, he made all aware that the duties and responsibilities ahead now are more intense than in previous years and so each and every one should continue to ask from Allah His forgiveness, mercies, and guidance to help them serve Islam Ahmadiyya. “These are some of the trials Allah is using to test our faith”, he stated.

In conclusion, Mr. Baidoo cautioned members on the improper use of social media and the need for all members to use it appropriately.

Story by: Mustapha Attah, Nazim Isha’at, Tarkwa Zone.

Waqar-e-Amal is a way through which members of the Jama’at promote togetherness and seek the blessings of Allah through communal labour. In this spirit, members of the Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, Tarkwa Zone on Saturday, February 3, 2022, undertook a fruitful exercise of Waqar-e-Amal to weed on their cassava farm located at New Atuabo in the Tarkwa Municipality.

On regular basis, the Majlis undertake this exercise on the one-acre farm to ensure maximum yield.

The need to find an alternative source of raising revenue to finance the activities and programs of the Majlis in the zone was the major motivation behind this venture. This is to ensure the elimination of situations where the Majlis fund its programmes from dues and voluntary contributions from members in the zone which has the tendency of overburdening sometimes.

In all, Twenty Two (22) Khuddam participated in this exercise, which lasted for four hours. The Qaid Ilaqa for the zone, Mr. Bashirudeen Adam, was thankful to members who took time off their busy schedules to participate in the Waqar-e-Amal. He again appealed to members of the Majlis to avail themselves when harvesting is due.
